Health Sciences University is delighted to host an interactive study day overviewing assessment and management of lower limb vascular disease. We bring together a multidisciplinary team including podiatrists, vascular nurses, vascular scientists and consultant vascular surgeons. This event seeks to be interactive to enable delegates to gain hands on experience.

Open for all healthcare professionals.


The day will include:  

  • Overview of Vascular Disease of the lower limb
  • Update of Vascular anatomy
  • Arterial and Venous Assessment using Duplex Ultrasound and Doppler
  • Management of Venous disease
  • Management and treatment of arterial lower limb disease
  • Pharmacology and surgical management

  • Appraise risk factors & pathology for peripheral arterial disease (PAD)
  • Critically evaluate signs & symptoms
  • Develop vascular assessment practice
  • Synthesize management options
  • Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacological aspects PAD management
