This seminar will address the critical need for sustainability in healthcare, focusing on leadership strategies, practical implementation, and reporting. Participants will explore key global and UK healthcare sustainability policies, case studies of successful implementation, and tools for measuring and communicating progress. Through interactive activities, group discussions, and practical exercises, attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of sustainability leadership and a clear action plan to take back to their organizations.

About the course leader
Dr. Ufuoma Egbegbedia is a passionate environmental practitioner, sustainability expert, and PhD researcher with extensive experience working at the intersection of sustainability, healthcare, and community development. As a member of the UN Women UK group and former President of the BAME Society at the University of Suffolk, Ufuoma has dedicated her career to fostering inclusive, sustainable practices in diverse settings. With a doctorate in sustainability and a strong background in leadership, she specializes in creating innovative strategies for embedding sustainability into organisational structures and systems. Ufuoma has a particular interest in healthcare sustainability, focusing on developing practical solutions that balance environmental responsibility with high-quality patient care. Her engaging and interactive approach to training empowers participants to become agents of change within their organisations.
