Foundations of Workplace Supervision has been designed by the Health Sciences University and The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust to provide Allied Health Professionals at RUH with an opportunity to build confidence and capability in supervision to support the development and wellbeing of their workforce.
This interactive online session, based on evidence based practice, will discuss why supervision is vital in supporting our colleagues, introduce models for supervision and enable AHP's to apply new skills into practice straight after the session.
Intended Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the session you should be able to:
- Describe workplace supervision and the benefits for the individual, organisation and service user
- Understand the fundamental roles and responsibilities of a workplace supervisor.
- Identify key skills and attributes necessary for effective supervision as a growth based approach to development.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the theories and models of supervision
- Apply theories and models of supervision to scenarios and understand their application in own practice.
- Reflect and identify own learning needs regarding workplace supervision
